Creating spaces where people come together and learn to collaborate effectively.

Hi! I’m Colette

With a master's in social work and a background in education, I’m currently a faith-based community organizer, bringing congregations together to tackle pressing social issues. I have extensive experience facilitating difficult conversations around race and equity, and helping organizations with strategic planning. I take pride in not only helping people navigate conflict but also developing proactive structures and norms to prevent conflicts from hindering progress. I do this work because I recognize that unresolved conflict can paralyze organizations, and my goal is to transform it into an opportunity for building stronger, more effective teams.

Guiding Values

  • Using the power of narrative in my work helps individuals and groups reflect on their experiences, recognize patterns, and re-frame challenges into opportunities for growth. By centering stories, I create opportunities for deeper connection and understanding.

  • My facilitation encourages people to build empathy by creating spaces where individuals can truly listen to each other’s experiences, especially those shaped by different life circumstances. By guiding open and vulnerable conversations, I help participants connect on a deeper level, allowing them to better understand diverse perspectives. This approach fosters stronger relationships and collaboration, setting the stage for recognizing shared goals

  • Collaboration and shared decision-making are cornerstones of my work as a facilitator and restorative justice circle keeper. I believe that by practicing inclusive and participatory processes, we actively embody the values of the world we want to create—one built on mutual respect, equity, and collective responsibility. In both facilitation and restorative justice, my goal is to help groups build the skills and confidence to create spaces where all voices are valued, fostering a culture of dialogue and cooperation, so that they can eventually sustain these practices independently.
